Getting Started with OnePageCheckout Pro

Getting Started with OnePageCheckout Pro

Welcome, and thank you for choosing OnePageCheckout Pro. This guide takes you from a fresh install to a completed test order in about ten minutes. Nothing here is permanent: deactivating the plugin instantly restores the stock WooCommerce checkout, with no lock-in and no leftover data on your storefront.

Before you begin, make sure you have a working WooCommerce store, an administrator account, and your license key from your purchase confirmation email. We recommend trying the plugin on a staging site first, but it is safe to install on production: it takes over only the checkout and order-received templates and leaves the WooCommerce engine — payments, taxes, shipping, coupons — untouched.

1. Install and activate the plugin

  • Download the plugin ZIP file from your account or your purchase email.
  • In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP file, and click Install Now.
  • Click Activate.

Your checkout switches to the one-page layout right away, with defaults that are ready to use. All settings live in one place: WooCommerce → OnePage Checkout.

2. A quick tour of the settings

The settings page has five tabs, with a live preview of the checkout beside the form so you see every change before you save:

  • Checkout — which pages the plugin takes over, field options (phone, coupon, marketing opt-in), and the editable cart.
  • Design — your logo and accent color.
  • Content — header USPs, order-summary perks, the trust row, and the thank-you help box.
  • Conversion — the Pro tools: address autocomplete, order bump, and express checkout.
  • License — activate your license key.

3. Set your logo and accent color (Design tab)

Open WooCommerce → OnePage Checkout → Design:

  • Checkout logo: pick the logo shown in the checkout header. If you leave it empty, the plugin falls back to your theme logo, then to your site name.
  • Accent color: used for the pay button, selections, and highlights. Pick your primary brand color, or leave it empty for neutral black.

The live preview updates as you edit; nothing goes public until you click Save. The texts around the checkout — header USPs, perks, trust row — are on the Content tab.

4. Activate your license (License tab)

Your license unlocks the Conversion tools, updates, and support, and defines how many sites you can activate (Starter 1 site, Growth up to 5, Agency unlimited).

  • Open WooCommerce → OnePage Checkout → License.
  • Paste your key into the License key field and click Activate.

Moving a license to a different site? Click Deactivate first to free the slot, then activate on the new site. Once a license has been activated on a site, the Pro features there keep working even if the license later expires — renewals cover updates, support, and the hosted autocomplete service.

5. (Optional) Switch on the Conversion tools

With an active license, the Conversion tab unlocks:

  • Address autocomplete: address suggestions as the customer types — a few keystrokes fill the street, city, and postcode. Use the Hosted provider (included with your license, no API key to set up) or bring your own Google Places key.
  • Order bump: offer one product as a one-click add at checkout.
  • Express checkout row: show express payment buttons above the form when a gateway provides them.

6. Place a test order

Before sending real traffic, confirm the full flow end to end:

  • Put your payment gateway into test/sandbox mode, or use your provider’s test card details.
  • Add a product to the cart and open the checkout — you should see the one-page layout with your branding applied.
  • Complete the purchase and confirm you land on the order-received page and get the confirmation email.
  • Verify the order appears under WooCommerce → Orders with the correct totals, tax, and shipping.

When the test order looks right from cart to confirmation, switch your gateway back to live mode and you are ready to sell.

7. (Optional) Skin the checkout from your child theme

The Design and Content tabs cover most stores. If you want full CSS control, style the checkout from your own child theme:

  • By default the plugin hides your theme’s stylesheets on the checkout so the page stays clean (the Checkout-only styling toggle on the Checkout tab).
  • Stylesheets whose handle contains onepagecheckout or wopc are kept — so enqueue your custom CSS from the child theme under a handle such as onepagecheckout-skin and it will load on the checkout, after the plugin’s own styles.
  • Developers can adjust which styles are kept with the wopc_keep_style_pattern filter.

Because your customizations live in your theme and not in the plugin, updating OnePageCheckout Pro never overwrites them.

8. How to get support

Every license includes updates and support — one year on annual plans, and for the life of the product on lifetime licenses.

  • Documentation: browse the guides and FAQs at onepagecheckout.pro.
  • Email support: reach our team at support@onepagecheckout.pro. Including your site URL, plugin and WooCommerce versions, and a screenshot helps us resolve things faster.
  • 14-day money-back guarantee: if the plugin is not the right fit within your first 14 days, contact us for a full refund.
