One address entered with suggestions. A shopper typing into the address field and getting suggestions counts once, however many keystrokes it takes, and picking a street and then the house number is still one lookup. Searches that return nothing do not count. Lookups are pooled across all sites on your license and reset on the 1st of every month.

Yes, in the free version too. Paste a Google Places API key into the plugin settings and suggestions come straight from Google, billed to your own Google account. With Pro you do not need a key at all: our hosted service is included, and its suggestions are built on OpenStreetMap, the open map data that a worldwide community keeps up to date. If you set one anyway, it is also the fallback when your monthly lookups run out.
Your checkout and every Pro feature keep working. Only hosted autocomplete needs a renewal: an optional geo renewal at $24, $49 or $99 per year (Starter, Growth, Agency). Without it, autocomplete uses your own Google key if you have one, or addresses are typed as usual. Lifetime licenses bought before three-year terms were introduced keep hosted autocomplete for as long as the service runs.
No. What a shopper types into the address field, and their IP address, go to our own geo service in Germany (hosted by netcup), are used only to return suggestions and are not stored. Suggestions come from OpenStreetMap data on our own servers, so every lookup is answered in-house and never passed on to Google or anyone else. Our logs contain no typed text, only shortened IP addresses, and are deleted after 7 days. We act as your processor for this; a data processing agreement is available on request.
